Bluma’s sister Shifra Mekler (now Shifra Mor) came to the memorial at Bullenhuser Damm for the first time in 1998, as well as the kindergarten in Hamburg-Burgwedel named after Bluma. She grew up on a kibbutz in Israel, where she found her elder brother again, and later moved to Tel Aviv. In 2012 other family members also came to the remembrance celebration in Hamburg. In the past years Yuval Mekler and his wife Mikha came to visit from London.
