Nazi hunters - Journey into darkness
The NDR docu-fiction tells the story of the British soldiers who searched for German war criminals in northern Germany in the post-war period. Many of the Nazi perpetrators escaped, but the British were able to track down some of them, such as Rudolf Höß, commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp from 1940 to 1943, the site doctor of the Neuengamme concentration camp, Alfred Trzebinski, and the camp commandant of Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen, Josef Kramer.
The film focuses on the crimes committed against the children of Bullenhuser Damm, who are played by child actors.
